Alex Beanie Free Knitting Pattern

Beanie overview:

• This hat is knit in the round from the bottom up 
• 2 sizes to to fit a head circumference of 45-51cm and 54 – 60cm
• Gauge: 31 stitches to 10cm in 1x1 rib stitch in the round

You will need:

• 50g (100g )dk weight merino
• 1 stitch marker and 4 locking stitch markers
  
• 3.5mm circular needles (or size to achieve gauge) - you may wish to switch to DPNs when the circumference gets smaller, or continue with circular needles and use the magic loop method
• Scissors
• Darning needle

• Italian tubular cast on
• rib stitch
  
• central double decrease
• k2tog
